Chinese lanterns

Image
These cards are inspired by two challenges: -"Framed" by Poppystamps http://poppystamps.typepad.com/poppystamps/challenge/ -"Sparkle and shine" by Simon says stamp http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ I used the "chinese lanterns" dies by poppystamps for this card.

Narnian lamp post

This is my second entry to the Simon says stamp "Mythology/Inspired by a story" challenge http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=12386

Agatha Christie card

Image
This week's Simon says stamp Monday challenge has such a fantastic theme, "Mythology/inspired by a story", I had to find a contribution and i had several ideas. This is the first (and I hope not the last) one I've realised for this challenge. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=12386 It's featuring the title and a page from Agatha Christie's "The secret adversary" Only drawback: To who can you give a card with that title? I also created the illusion on glass for the reading glass.

Bees and faeries

Image
For this one I tried to combine a few challenges and use my newly acquired bees: http://poppystamps.typepad.com/poppystamps/challenge/    "Framed" http://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/challenge/ "Floral" h ttp://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?cat=1 "A trio of something" http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ http://diesruschallenge.blogspot.no/ "Anything goes" (both challenges) I used the following dies: Memory box stitched hexagons https://www.123stitch.com/item/Memory-Box-Stitched-Hexagon-Layers-Die/MBOX-30076 Cuttlebug Anna Griffin flower vine Faeries: http://www.poppystamps.com/1841-Magnificent-Mini-Faeries-craft-die_p_950.html

Reading is travelling

Image
This one was inspired by the "Roadtrip" Simon says stamp Monday challenge. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=11899 I'm sacrificing and old Agatha Christie paperback for it. I'm not sure yet whether this one will become a card or a book mark.

Floral Frenzy

Image
This card is my contribution to the "Floral Frenzy" challenge on the Simon says stamp Wednesday blog. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ I used paper napkins in the background and I folded paper circles for the flowers.

Poétesse

Image
This card is inspired by the "girl power" chalenge on the Simon says stamp wednesday blog. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-girl-power/ I used gift paper for creating this one. I imagine the lady on the picture to be a writer or poet, therefore the written background.

Spinning ballerina

Image
I created this one for the " make your own background" challenge on Simon says stamp. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge I made my own marbled paper and used simple food paper as a mobile background that lets the ballerina spin. I aso used the following dies: https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/nestabilities-heart-home-oval-floral-etched-dies/ https://www.sizzix.com/661182/sizzix-thinlits-die-set-4pk-detailed-butterflies And the ballerina is of an unknown brand.

Grunge heart

Image
This card was created for the "Grunge it up" challenge on the Simon says stamp Monday blog. I don't know which dies I used as i got them second hand.

Hogwarts card

Image
Harry Potter's first true home. Also featuring the Durmstrang home during the triwizard tournament. This is a card I made with my own handmade embossing stencil and a spelbinders oval dies https://www.spellbinderspaperarts.com/nestabilities-heart-home-oval-floral-etched-dies/ The card didn't turn out quite perfect, but I'm entering it in the "cosy home" challeng by daring cardmakers anyway. http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.no/

Roses and Butterfly

Image
For this card I used stamps in the background (swirls or text). The oval frame is made from a paper napkin glued on some paper to make it easier to work with. And on top I used the Detailed Butterflies dies by Tim Holtz. https://www.scrapbook.com/store/sz-661182.html This card is posted in the "garden" mixed media challenge by happy little stampers: http://www.happylittlestampers.com/search/label/Mixed%20Media%20Challenge

Celeste card

Image
I've created this card for the Poppystamps "Snow day" challenge, using also the negative spaces to expand the snowflake. http://poppystamps.typepad.com/poppystamps/challenge/ Variation: With the outline on top: Dies used: Poppystamps Celeste Snowflake http://www.poppystamps.com/1860-Celeste-Snowflakes-craft-die_p_974.html http://www.poppystamps.com/1866-Celeste-Snowflakes-Outlines-craft-die_p_980.html

Peter Pan's boat

Image
This card is inspired by the "Kids Kard" challenge by Dies r Us http://diesruschallenge.blogspot.no/ As I did the colouring with water soluble Neocolor (using them as water colours) I can also post it in the water colour challenge by Happy Little Stampers. http://www.happylittlestampers.com/2018/01/hls-january-watercolour-challenge.html The idea is to show the end of the story, when the boat floats in the sky. But I also added some sea elements just for fun. I used the following dies:  "life is a journey"  by joy! crafts "Under the sea collage" by Memory box "From the sea" by Cuttlebug "Watch faces" and "Ribbon banners" by Spellbinders Shapeabilities  And I coloured it with Neocolor water soluble and metallic crayons.

Winter tree twin cards

Image
This card was inspired by several challenges (on of which I didn't end up entering): -Poppystamps and Memorybox, which both had the theme of winter and snow http://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/challenge/ http://poppystamps.typepad.com/poppystamps/challenge/ -And Coffee lovers with a colour challenge (for which one I was actually too late to enter, but I liked the combination of the challenges.)- -Simon says stamp has "add a sentiment" as a challenge this week and I'm just on time for it. http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ -Cuttlebug Mania has the theme "Valentine" http://cuttlebugmania.blogspot.no/ Daring cardmakers "black and white and a pop" http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.no/ (I haven't figured out how to add a challenge badge to my post, so if anybody could give me some instructions, that would be appreciated. Thanks.) Since I couldn't decide if the tree looks better with a green or r

Winter blues

Image
This card was inspired by the Simon says Monday challenge "Winter blues" http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/ I took the challenge title literally and made sure it's blue(ish) I'm also posting this in the "Anything goes" challenge by Dies r us http://diesruschallenge.blogspot.no/ P.S., I've been trying to have the challenge badges in my post, but somehow can't get it done. So, if somebody comments and knows how to do it, some instructions would be very welcome.
